Denver to Keystone
The shortest mountain run we make, and the one most exposed to the tunnel. Closest to Denver in miles, not always in minutes.
What makes this drive hard
Keystone sits just past the tunnel, so when the tunnel backs up, which in a storm it does for hours, there is no way around it. The alternative over Loveland Pass closes first.
What we know that a map doesn't
Keystone is three separate base areas that are a long way apart. River Run, Lakeside and Mountain House are not walkable from one another with luggage; we need the base area, not just "Keystone".
Arriving
River Run Village is pedestrian-only. Vehicle access is via the transit hub, and the walk to a condo can be five minutes with bags.
In summer
The closest major resort to Denver, which makes it the easiest summer day trip. Keystone Ranch and the Lakeside golf make for straightforward round trips.

What's inside the price
Gratuity, All tolls, including E-470, Fuel, Airport access and lane fees, Meet-and-greet inside the terminal, 60 minutes of wait time on arrivals, Flight tracking and delay adjustment, Child seats, on request, Bottled water and device charging. All of it. There is no fuel surcharge, no toll billing and no late-night premium on this route or any other.
The shared shuttle comparison, honestly
A seat on a scheduled shuttle to Keystone runs roughly $79–139 per person each way, and stops for every other passenger on board. A private SUV at $465 breaks even at about five passengers, and it leaves when you land, goes only where you are going, and carries the ski bags inside.
