Denver to Vail
The busiest private transfer in Colorado, and the one where winter timing matters most. Two mountain passes, one tunnel, and a village you cannot drive into.
What makes this drive hard
Vail Pass is the highest point on I-70 at 10,662 ft and the first stretch CDOT closes when snow moves in. It is also where the Traction Law is enforced hardest.
What we know that a map doesn't
Vail Village is closed to through traffic. Chauffeured arrivals use the Vail Village Welcome Center on East Meadow Drive or the private drop at the Solaris and Sebastian; we confirm which one your lodging expects before the day.
Arriving
Bell service at most Vail Village properties stops at 11pm, so on a late DEN arrival we carry bags to the door rather than leaving you with them at the roundabout.
In summer
Summer runs are the fastest of the year and Vail Pass opens up completely. Bravo! Vail and the Vail Dance Festival fill July and August; those evenings need a return time set in advance.

What's inside the price
Gratuity, All tolls, including E-470, Fuel, Airport access and lane fees, Meet-and-greet inside the terminal, 60 minutes of wait time on arrivals, Flight tracking and delay adjustment, Child seats, on request, Bottled water and device charging. All of it. There is no fuel surcharge, no toll billing and no late-night premium on this route or any other.
The shared shuttle comparison, honestly
A seat on a scheduled shuttle to Vail runs roughly $79–139 per person each way, and stops for every other passenger on board. A private SUV at $535 breaks even at about five passengers, and it leaves when you land, goes only where you are going, and carries the ski bags inside.
